There has been a spirited fight by the R Kelly defense team to prove his innocence before the jury. However, a verdict has been reached and R Kelly is now sentenced to 30 years behind bars.

The damaging allegations of sex trafficking charges dating to 1994 in violation of The Mann Act have now been proven and the RnB star’s career has been brought to a screeching halt.

Mixed Reactions About R Kelly Sentencing

Although there are mixed reactions to the news, Boosie Badazz has taken to his Twitter page to denounce the sentencing by terming it “too long”. The rapper says that R Kelly did not kill anyone and therefore the sentence is not commensurate to the crime committed. The rapper who says it as he sees it also wondered why murderers get 15/20 years, yet R Kelly gets a maximum sentence for a crime that the parents of the girls knew about.

R Kelly Victim’s Parents Criticized

Boosie’s thoughts are shared by a lot of people who believe that the parents of the girls that R Kelly exploited should also be held liable. They, after, all encouraged and aided the girls to spend time with the singer.

He however makes it clear that he does not condone R Kelly’s action. He further says that the new R Kelly needs help to overcome his infatuation.

Torrence Ivy Hatch Unhappy Too

Also known as Torrence Ivy Hatch the rapper who hit the airwaves in the 1990s when he was part of the hip hop collective took a swipe at people who supported the verdict. He did not mince his words when he tweeted that they do not have any idea how it feels to have a family member locked up in prison for a long period.

“Most People who never went to prison r lost families to prison favor lengthy prison sentences for people ‼️ YALL don’t know that pain, so I feel YALL”, read one of the tweets.

On to uplifting news, Travis Barker is in a stable condition following his recent hospitalization with pancreatitis two days ago.
