One of Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguards was shot in the leg outside of an Atlanta hotel early Monday morning. Reports say when the incident took place the bodyguard was in a motorcade of three vehicles traveling to a hotel in Buckhead around 3 a.m. Investigators say there’s evidence that “the shooter was targeting the victim’s vehicle.”

Sources say the bodyguard (who’s identity is being withheld) is currently in stable condition and is recovering at Grady Hospital.

Sources say the championship boxer’s team was returning to the hotel after a nearby club appearance. “We believe that Mr. Mayweather may have been in one of the other vehicles in the caravan and was not injured,” an Atlanta Police Department news release said. Floyd Mayweather was not hurt.
