Rapper Swizz Beatz officially earned a degree from Harvard University on Thursday Nov. 16th 2017.
Kasseem Dean (born September 13, 1978), better known by his stage name Swizz Beatz, is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from New York City, New York. Born and raised in The Bronx, he began his musical career as a disc jockey (DJ) and has since added rapper, singer, producer, record executive, creative director, fashion designer and now Harvard graduate to his resume.
Swizz Beats was raised by a single mother. Due to his parents’ separation in his early life, Swizz Beats did not see much of his father, who was a postal worker and immigrant from Eritrea. At the precious age of 16, he gained recognition in the hip hop industry, through his friendship and work with East Coast rapper DMX and the Ruff Ryders Entertainment record label.
Swizz reportedly earned his certificate from Harvard’s Owner/President Management Program. The degree focuses on growing corporate and financial success, while advancing leadership skills needed for becoming a CEO, COO, president, Managing Director, or Executive director of a major company, according to the course description.
Congratulations to Swizz Beatz on your accomplishments and we here at Gems Radio are excited to see what comes next.
