(GEMS RADIO)—A$AP Rocky is ready to release his next album but with some hesitancy. He told Complex Magazine that hip hop is losing too many of its star players to violence. He also mentioned there’s a lot of competition with other genres.
We lost Takeoff, PnB Rock, JayDaYoungan, and Trouble all died this year alone to violence. In previous years hip hop dominate year end charts, now the tide is slowly turning as Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift dominated.
Rocky continued, “Pop is fighting for the number one spot, as far the most predominant genre. It’s a really weird time right now. I don’t really care for the politics of it.
