Charlamagne Defends His Choices for Most Influential Rappers

(GEMS RADIO)—Radio Personality Charlamagne Tha God just named his top four for most influential hip hop artists and excluded Chicago’s drill rapper Chief Keef.

“I’m not going to say the order number, but there’s four: Kanye [West], JAY-Z, [2]Pac and [Lil’] Wayne,” Charlagmagne said. “The four most influential rappers of all time.”

Charlamagne says Keef did not influence the world, but a region. Joe Budden was quick to add his two cents saying drill music is just about “over”. Drill Rap reached all over the globe and influenced many upcoming rappers including New York City’s Fivio Foreign. Juelz Santana praised Chief Keef for his influence on drill rap music. Drill rap is an aggressive style of rap music that has been noted for its haunting melodies and slow tempo beats.
