(GEMS RADIO)- Just a few hours after posting a teaser on social media, Drake released a new song titled “Rescue Me.” The song on the record is the one he debuted at the Dreamville Festival the previous weekend. The first indication that it will involve Kanye West in some form was the image of Kim Kardashian on the single’s piece of art. Also, there were snatches of her voice talking about her split from Kanye West.

Kim’s Statement in the Song

Kim is heard stating, “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far, and not be happy. Think about that.

Kim’s statement was taken directly from the finale episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians from June 2021, where she discussed her choice to end her six-year marriage to the Yeezy fashion designer.

Drake And Kanye West’s Feud

Kanye West and Drake have been trading punches for years, often over Kim Kardashian. In 2018, West deleted a tweet after realizing Drake had been following his ex-wife on Instagram. West wasn’t happy with the situation.

He tweeted, “I didn’t know this until now that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September. It’s the most messed-up thing I’ve ever seen, so I had to mention it. I only noticed it this morning. Consider the scenario where a person you disagree with follows your wife on Instagram.

Kanye West Claimed Drake Refused to Solve Their Issues

Kanye West returned with another cautionary tale for the 6 God a day later. After discussing Drake’s subtle jabs on Travis Scott’s song “Sicko Mode,” he went back to the contentious Instagram follow that had initially enraged him.

He tweeted, “This man tried to take my family’s song to get at me. From the start, he has been attempting to start a brawl. He ducked me when I offered him an opportunity to communicate for months and then came to scare me. When it came to Drake, I never broached the subject of family or even brought it up.
