(GEMS RADIO)- Kanye West, Rihanna, and Jay-Z have appeared on the latest Forbes billionaires list. The Forbes list released on Tuesday featured the trio for their billion-dollar fortune gained mainly from their entrepreneurial ventures.

Heading the list among the “Run This Town” trio is Kanye West with $2 billion, which makes him the richest rapper ever, thanks to Yeezy’s lucrative multi-year deal with Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. He comes in at #1,513 on the list. Ye is up over 200 positions from last year’s list and has increased his wealth by $200 million.

Kanye’s Net Worth Remains Unclear

The value of his fortune remains in contention. In 2020 when Forbes reported his value to be $1.3 billion, the Chicago native was famously quoted, “its $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”

Last March, Bloomberg reported that Ye’s value had soared to $6.6 billion, a figure that would make him the richest Black man in the US. Forbes later corrected it to about $1.8 billion.

In a Hollywood Unlocked interview, the rapper valued himself at over $10 billion.

Barbados First Billionaire According to Forbes

Rihanna is second among the trio with $1.7 billion in valuation. She is officially the richest female musician. Thanks to her Fenty Beauty cosmetics brand and Savage X Fenty lingerie line, the mother-to-be comes #1,729 on the Forbes list.

According to Forbes, RiRi is Barbados’ first billionaire. This comes after she was declared a national hero in Barbados as the country marked its new status as a republic.

Jay Z closes out with a $1.4 billion net worth which puts him at #2,076 on the list. The rap mogul comes from selling his TIDAL streaming platform and champagne brand.

Selling TIDAL to Jack Dorsey’s Square earned him about $302 million while the offloading of his champagne brand Armand de Brignac to LVMH earned him about $600 million

Ye, Hov, and RiRi don’t come even close to Elon Musk’s $219 billion dollar fortune garnered from his success with SpaceX and Tesla.
