(GEMS RADIO)- Lola Brooke’s music career has been on an upward trajectory recently. In the last one year, her popularity has grown considerably due to her hit song “Don’t Play With It”. Just recently, Yung Miami and Latto did a remix of the song.
Apart from the two amazing female rappers, she has also received a lot of support from other rappers like Meek Mill and Pusha T. Lately, Lola has been frank about how Meek Mill’s has influenced her.
A little while ago, Rolling Stone interviewed Lola and she opened up about this issue of Meek Mill’s influence on her career. She went ahead and rapped the first bars of the Dreams & Nightmares song although she got some of the lyrics wrong.
She added that during her first meeting with the person she looks up to, Meek Mill, he was rapping and he shouted her name, asked her why she was being timid. He also said he knows her lyrics. Lola confessed that she was astonished that Meek Mill knew her and also knew her lyrics.
Meek mill recently said this about her, “I been knew Lola was a star from when I first seen her so I always wanted her to know I see it too! I be thinking I got powers I can see which ones really different off rip lol”
It’s evident that Meek Mill believes Lola Brooke has the ability to become a huge star in the rap world. Meek shared Lola’s Rolling Stone video online and also blew his own trumpet saying how talented he is at finding undiscovered talent.
He posted this message online “I been knew Lola was a star from when I first seen her so I always wanted her to know I see it too! I be thinking I got powers I can see which ones really different off rip lol,”
There is no doubt that the two have created a strong bond from that time and it seems they are about to release new music together. While being interviewed by Q99.7, Lola Brooke clarified that they have done a song together, but she didn’t mention when they will release it.
“I’ve been waiting on that all my life… As many times as I’ve watched him work, I still was nervous,” Lola expounded. “I just kept telling myself, ‘Don’t take it easy on him’… I felt like he wasn’t going to take it easy on me.”
