(GEMS RADIO)—Fugees member Pras Michel can face up to 22 years in prison for conspiracy.

Pras failed to repay attendees of an Obama campaign fundraiser for $40,000 using foreign investment for ticket costs. The court system also said Pras helped aide the Chinese government for a protestor living in the United States who developed close relations to Steve Bannon and the Trump administration. This is the reason why the Fugees reunion concert failed to happen.

“The defendant continues to deny he was acting as an agent for China and denies he willfully and knowingly acted as a secret agent under the direction and control of China when he approached the FBI,” defense lawyers stated this month in court documents. Though, if found guilty on all charges, Pras can be facing 22 years in prison.
