Rick Ross bought a watch worth $20 million and shared the information on Instagram on Monday July 10. He disclosed that it took the manufacturer, Jacob the Jeweler, three years to finish making the watch.

“I’m excited. It’s amazing. And just thanks for getting it to the city for me to try on,” Said Rozay while facetiming with the watch maker. “This is the billionaire,” he added as he showed a closeup of the watch.

He explained that it took that long to create because of the many small stones decorating the band.

Rick Ross’s love for Jewelry

“From my perspective, it’s a beautiful thing. It’s a beautiful moment. This is an amazing timepiece. It took over three and a half years to collect the stones. These are not emerald green stones. These are Tsavorites.”

He added that the watch cannot be replicated or duplicated.

Rick Ross has never been shy about flaunting his jewelry on social media. He splashes money on jewelry such as neckwear, rings and now his latest purchase has been the customized watch.

Donation

At the beginning of the year, he bought a big expensive gold chain. However, in June this year, he also donated $30K to a hospital to keep it running. So, he uses his money to do philanthropy as well from time to time.

Meanwhile, Lil Yatchy called out Akademiks for claiming in a podcast that Lil Yatchy told him Playboi Carti advised him to experiment with a different genre which led to the release of the song “Poland”.

“Lil Yachty in my studio told me — this is before he dropped ‘Poland’ and ‘Strike’ and all this other shit — n-gga, he said he’s in the studio with Carti, and Carti made him change his entire style. Facts,”Akademiks said.

Not Carti

“Once I heard that, I was like, ‘Damn! Carti’s like that?!’ Sorry, I have nothing more to say. Carti’s that n-gga.” He added.

Lil Yatchy has been clear in previous interviews that it was Tyler the Creator who inspired him to try a different style. He took to Twitter to refute Akademiks claims and went on to clarify it was Tyler and not Carti who inspired him.

“@Akademiks u r so insane, I didn’t tell u this at all,” he wrote. “Stop drinking bro. I said tyler encouraged me to take that route. Wtf.”
