Twitter hip-hop fans were treated to an all-to-familiar drama when Soulja boy took on Wizkid for dissing him 12 years ago. This is not the first time that the DeAndre Cortez Way has beefed with fellow artists.

He has been on records for engaging in a war of words laced with expletives with Lil Yachty, Bow Wow, Key Glock, Chris Brown, and more.

One of the most remarkable fights was the exchange with Kanye West when he was cut out of the final version of Kanye West’s Album Donda.

12 Years Down The Line…

On May 11, 2010, Wizkid tweeted,

“I Swear Soulja Boy is wack! Jeeeezzzz”.

“Ya mama is wack! Shut Your Bitch ass up.” Replied Soulja Bouy at 4 pm on July 10th, 2022.

The response garnered more than 11 thousand likes and hundreds of comments as the fans react. There have also been thousands of retweets and hundreds of comments as a debate rages in the comment section.

Wizkid Fans Are Hitting Out

@skifr4L

@souljaboy “U replied to a 12-year tweet ? bro u want clout he got more hits than you

@BradleyCarlvin

@souljaboy “You really needed his touch to breathe your career back to life?”

These were some of the replies on the tween as fans of Wizkid lashed out to defend their celebrities. However, Soulja boy did not engage in a war of words with them but instead chose to focus on his fans where he likes some of their replies.

Both Celebrities Are Influential

“Essence” by Wizkid, Justin Bieber, and Tems made it to the 2022 Billboard nominations brightening the star of the Nigerian-based rapper.

The 31-year-old Soulja Boy has released hits such as Crank That, Walk Em Down, Catch Me A Body, and more. He recently said that he will be dropping rap for action but this is yet to be seen as the rapper seems too emersed in music to hang the boots.
