Just after Jamal Crawford, a former renowned NA player, said that Jay-Z’s impact on hip hop is more significant than that of Eminen, 50 Cent disagreed with the sentiment terming it “bullshit.”
Crawford made a claim when he appeared on The Big Podcast (Shaquille O’Neal”s program) with Shaq.
“That’s why my five, the dominance outweighs the number,” Jamal told Shaq, but Shaq disagreed with the sentiments. “Like, JAY-Z’s effect on Hip Hop is bigger than any album sales that Eminem will have, you see what I’m saying? That’s just how it goes.”
50 Cent Wades in
50 Cent supported Shaq for being reluctant to comment and wrote “Ha Bulshit” on Hip Hop Wolf’s IG page.
Eminem has sold so many albums and singles. He has accumulated over 227.5 million sales since he began his career, comprising over 61.5 million albums and over 166 million singles.
Eminem is also among the seven hip-hop artists in any era or genre, with over three diamond albums.
What about Jay-Z?
Jay-Z also has an impressive track record. His third album is a blockbuster. He is now leading all other rappers for having the highest number of number-one albums on Billboard 200.
Eminem and 50 Cent have been close buddies for a long time. Before their Super Bowl LVI show in February together with Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre, Eminem had told Jay-Z (One of the organizers of the show) that he won’t attend the show unless his friend 50 Cent was part of it.
50 Cents has had a frosty relationship with Jay-Z for a long time. Last September, Young Guru commented that Jay-z warned about Fiddy’s popularity in the 200s.
50 Cent came to know what Gurus said and decided to praise them via an Instagram post. “I love you n-ggas too,” He posted. “I just need somebody to compete with. It makes me find a way; Jay know I will always find a way.”
