The American Music Awards were held last night in Los Angeles. Rapper Cardi B hosted. The big winner of the evening was KPop sensations BTS who won three awards. They also nabbed Artist of the Year. BTS performed “My Universe” with Coldplay and then closed the show out with “Butter”.
Silk Sonic kicked off the show with their single “Smokin Out The Window”. Jennifer Lopez performed her new song “On My Way” from her upcoming flick Marry Me.
Olivia Rodrigo won Best New Artist and performed her hit “Traitor”.”Writing songs is my favorite thing in the whole world and I am so grateful for everyone who has embraced my music,” she said.
Machine Gun Kelly repped the rock category and mentioned that the category was not going to be televised live on the show. “I read the headline that the age of the rockstar is dead, but it looks pretty alive to me,” the singer said in his acceptance speech.
