(GEMS RADIO)- Iggy Azalea revealed she upped and left Playboi Carti one day without looking back, shedding light on what transpired that caused the dissolution of her relationship with him.

Iggy Reveals Why She Left Her Ex

The “Fancy” rapper talked about her “toxic” relationship with the father of her kid during an appearance on Emily Ratajkowski’s High Low with EmRata podcast. With their son Onyx only three weeks old, she acknowledged that they split up during the summer of 2020.

Iggy Azalea left the relationship after an argument with the baby daddy and never came back.

She recounted, “Something transpired one day with my ex and it was exactly the type of situation when you’re simply like, I didn’t wake up expecting this was what my day would have been.” But by the evening, I had boarded a flight to Los Angeles, and I have never returned. And that was it.

It Was Not Working

She said that despite their awareness of the problems, they remained together due to external factors.

“Don’t misunderstand me. You are aware of the tumultuous nature of our relationship since you are not a moron. You can tell when something is not working, she added. I was aware that it wasn’t working, but I had recently given birth, and it was COVID. At the time, I had a lot of stuff to manage, and I didn’t anticipate leaving when I did.

Iggy Did Not Want Her Son Exposed To Toxic Connections

Iggy was adamant that her baby would not experience the same “toxic bond” that she had with her parents.

I was thinking, “I will not allow my son to witness this because I don’t desire him to notice people talk to me in such a way, because I don’t wish for him to ever experience this, I don’t want him to be introduced to this,” in that particular moment on that particular day.

For the sake of her son, she made the decision “in that instant” to end the “highly toxic cycle,” promising to depart and never to return.
