Lil Wayne Says Nicki Is the Best Female Rapper There Is

The founder of Young Money Entertainment claims that Nicki Minaj is the greatest female rapper to have ever picked up a microphone.

Weezy made his remarks during a debate on the podcast All The Smoke. The Hosts questioned Lil Wayne about Nicki Minaj’s place among all female rappers.

He said, “Female of all time.” “I don’t want to offend anyone, but boy. There isn’t f###### with Nicki. They come after.”

Nicki’s Response To Lil Wayne

In response, Nicki Minaj reposted the video on social media late Sunday night (June 11).

She wrote in the caption, that I’ll offer you $1 if you can uncover a lie, when the best rapper of all time believed in you and still does.

The singer of “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” then paid homage to Lil Wayne and expressed her gratitude for always being there for her. She also yelled out Mack Maine, the leader of Young Money.

“I sure did lean on your confidence & u sure were ALWAYS there,” she continued. “Til this day- when I send you something, you return a verse. @liltunechi, we love you so much. We thank you so much. Long live the BAR! No pun intended. Bar for Bar. @mackmaine4president “#MulaBaaabay”

Why Lil Wayne Loves Working With Nicki Minaj

In an interview from last year, Lil Wayne outlined his motivations for working with artists like Nicki Minaj and Drake, who are Young Money signings.

“I put in a lot of work. I shouldn’t work the way I do. I seek motivation. With Nicki, what she genuinely always had, she forgets she’s a woman and Nicki. You lose track of it halfway through her raps, he said. Drake, I had to force him to sing. He believed it would diminish his reputation as a rapper. Although he didn’t want to, that sincerity cannot be compromised.
