(GEMS RADIO)—-Selena Quintanilla new posthumous album is due out in April.

Tejano singer and crossover sensation Selena Quintanilla’s new album is due out next month. Almost thirty years after her death, Abraham Quintanilla, the father of the late Tejano singer Selena, confirmed the news that a new album is on the way.

“What amazes me is that 26 years later and the public still remembers Selena. They haven’t let go of her,” her brother said in an interview. “They’re waiting for a project like this to come out, and I know it will be well received by the public.”

Selena won a Grammy for Best Mexican-American Album just before her massive crossover was about to happen here in the United States. Selena was shot and killed by the fan club’s president, Yolanda Saldivar, after Selena’s father accused her of embezzling money from Selena’s fan club.

Selena’s impact is still felt worldwide. Her posthumous album is due out on Warner Records.
