(GEMS RADIO)– Terrence “Punch” Handerson, president of Top Dawg Entertainment is not happy with DJ Vlad from VladTV.

The entrepreneur shared a tweet where he expressed his grievances towards DJ Vlad for using clickbait headlines to further his brand.

“Aye champ (@djvlad),” read the tweeted screenshot. “These headlines you use are very deceptive and misleading. I get it, you need something catchy for the bait, but be careful, it can be damaging. Also, don’t even question what I do in that matter and with that tone. Black people are in general, super creative and innovative and can do more than one thing (and at a high level). ”

He continued, “Basically we can chew gum and walk at the same time, my guy. I can create a marketing plan with SZA and then go rap with AROOMFULLOFMIRRORS.”

Vlad’s Malicious Commentary

Punch appeared to be angered by a recent DJ Vlad interview featuring battle rapper Daylyt. In the interview, Vlad brings up TDE and Daylyt’s association with the same.

Daylyt was discussing connecting with Absoul alongside other artists on TDE and a feature from the punch. But when he mentioned Punch’s name, Vlad clarified “Who’s the president of TDE.” Daylyt did not perceive the comments as malicious, considering he went on with the interview.

Vlad’s Reputation in Hip Hop

Vlad has ruffled some feathers in Hip Hop although some rappers and producers continue to sit down with him.

In May 2021, Royce Da 5’9 said he was keen to see Vlad disappear from Hip Hop media after a video showing Juvenile slamming Young Buck leaked.

“How he’s choosing to handle Buck is his choice but I’d be remiss not to point out that we get so triggered by each other and we are so quick to cut each other off, we forgetting that there’s a common denominator here,” he wrote alongside a clip of the interview. “Eliminate Vlad because his platform is a direct threat to our strength. We don’t need him.”
