(GEMS RADIO)–Spotify will begin to add disclaimers to Podcasts with Covid discussions.

Following the fall out of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell pulling their music from Spotify, the music giant has decided to add a “Content Warning Advisory” to podcast shows in which Covid is a discussion. Joe Rogan may have spurred the topic to a whole new level on his show, but Young and Mitchell are two artists that do not stand for for misleading info about the vaccines or Covid.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek wrote “there are plenty of individuals and views on Spotify that I disagree with strongly… it is important to me that we don’t take on the position of being content censor. We are working to add a content advisory to any podcast episode that includes a discussion about COVID-19.”
