(GEMS RADIO)——Kendrick Lamar is still on fire. His single featuring SZA “Luther” is still burning up the Billboard charts for a twelfth consecutive week. SZA holds the record with Kendrick for most weeks at number one since Diddy and Faith Evan’s 1994  classic “I’ll Be Missing You”. Only one song remains Billboard’s Top 100 mainstay and that is Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day”. Kudos to Kendrick.

(GEMS RADIO)——The Diddy case rages on. In the opening statement of the trial, the prosecutor stated Cassie was abused by Diddy in the course of their eleven year relationship. Diddy became even more violent when he found out Cassie was cheating on him. Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial will continue between six and eight weeks from now.

(GEMS RADIO)——-Tory Lanez has been stabbed several times while in prison. He was rushed to the hospital soon after. The injuries are said to be non life threatening. Lanez is currently being sentenced for ten years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. His trial is slated to begin on July 21.

(GEMS RADIO)——Kid Cudi is releasing a new single called “Neverland”. The song features a bit of acoustic guitar. The rapper sings: “Sailing to our neverland / We’ll never die, you and I / Chasing something that’ll last / We’ll never die, you and I.” His upcoming album simply called Free is a new direction for Cudi trying to make his most uncomfortable moments, comfortable.

(GEMS RADIO)——Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Metro Boomin have been officially sued over unpaid royalties over the biggest rap song of the year—-“Like That”. Rodney O’s song “Everlasting Bass” is sampled on “Like That” and has claimed that the song was not properly cleared.
