Rapper 50 Cent is known for his openness, even in the most sensitive topics. The filmmaker is no stranger to controversy. Most of his beef is within the hip-hop sphere. But once in a while, the rapper shares an unpopular opinion on a sensitive political issue.
We all know Fifty by now. He doesn’t let a chance for trolling pass him by. So, when Superman came out of the closet, 50 Cent couldn’t resist it. It was too inviting for him.
In case you have been living in a cave. It’s 2021, and Superman is bisexual. He even came out on National Coming Out Day. October 11th is observed in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
According to the announcement by DC Comics, the New Superman, who is the son of Clark Kent (the original Superman) and Lois Lane, is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Lead writer Tom Taylor reportedly said that “they didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to make Superman as modern (and inclusive) as possible.” Another “straight white savior” seemed “lame.”
DC received praise for the LGBTQ+ representation. But not everyone was happy that the new Superman is bisexual. To 50 Cent, the world is coming to an end.
The rapper took to Instagram to give his sensitive remarks on the issue a day after DC let out the news. The rapper posted;
“oh sh*t, the world is coming to a end ! Who did this shit to Super Man, so now he like Lois Lane and Larry ain’t this a b*tch!”
Dean Cain Comments
Joining Fifty was Dean Cain, who played the Superman character in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures TV series. In an interview, the actor described DC’s announcement as “bandwagoning.”
Dean also said that it would have been brave and bold if it had been done 20 years ago.
He added, “Brave would be having him fighting for the rights of gay people in Iran where they’ll throw you off a building for the offense of being gay.”
