(GEMS RADIO)- Lil Tjay finally boarded a trip to France this past weekend after being shot multiple times in June last year. He played for an audience in the “city of love” that was more than happy to see him return to the stage.
Lil Tjay, who is only 21 years old, has experienced a lot and was shot seven times in June of last year. The rapper was only minutes away from boarding a plane to Paris at the time. Since then, he has taken time to rehabilitate and put his well-being first, yet he has continued to create amazing new music. This past weekend, Tjay finally made his journey to France after feeling a little like himself.
Akademiks posted a video of the latest event on Sunday of April 16th. It depicts a crowd of people watching Lil Tjay amuse them while reflecting light from their phones at him. The “Beat the Odds” performer recalled before the performance, “I got shot shortly before I got on the plane.” He said, “I received a second chance at life,” before starting with a well-liked song from his catalogue.
Lil Tjay has been praising his time abroad on his Instagram feed with a ton of footage. His travels in April started in Israel and took him to Germany, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Hungary. He visited Italy during the week as well. The songwriter skillfully used a line from Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N*ggas in Paris” in his caption to commemorate his trip to France. “If you had managed to escape what I did, you would also be having a wild time in Paris.”
