(GEMS RADIO)–King Push is in mourning again. Pusha T announced on Instagram about the passing of his father Elliot Thorton Sr over the weekend. It’s a double tragedy for The Clipse brothers who have lost both parents in under 6 months.

Revealing the sudden death, the Diet Coke rapper posted a photo and a video of his dad and his son enjoying quality time.

“I love you Dad…you taught me to remain poised, to always be calculated, to be prideful, and to respect hustle and hard work but to know the difference between the two,” Pusha T wrote. “I am who I am because of you and I’ve always been proud to be your son. We are all gonna miss you… R.I.P. Gene Elliott Thornton Sr. P.S. We all know what this is abt, kiss my mom for me…”

Pusha T Lost His Mom in November

The Clipse brothers recently lost their mom who passed away in November 2021. His brother, who is largely inactive on Instagram, dedicated his only post to his late father with excerpts from the bible;

“You told me Psalm 34:19 was your favorite verse,” No Malice wrote. “Right now, I clutch it with both hands. We all love you, dad. You were everything a father is supposed to be. ‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them ALL.’ Psalm 34:19 KJV #TogetherAgain #Jesus #Salvation.”

The two did not disclose the reason for their father’s passing. They have however received outpouring support from celebrities like Jadakiss, Fabulous, DJ Envy, DJ Clue, Steven Victor, and more.

Chief Keef Mourns His Grandmother

The Clipse brothers are not the only ones in mourning. Chief Keef’s also lost his grandmother Margaret Louise Carter over the weekend. The rapper announced the sad news on Instagram by posting a heartfelt message;

“I’m so happy I got to make you proud granny never thought this would happen to me,” he wrote. “can’t believe my grammy just dipped on me, ima miss you too much and I’m sorry grandma I really I am. I would give all this shit up just to start over because I know what to do now.
