Over 100 Musicians Thanked By Eminem In His Induction Speech To The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

(GEMS RADIO)-Eminem paid tribute to a vast number of hip-hop heroes, both famous and little-known. This was during his acceptance speech to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday.

After being awarded, the legend took around three and a half minutes to name over 100 names. The 37th annual ceremony was hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles,

Along with special guests Ed Sheeran and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Eminem performed throughout the five-plus hour event. His set list featured songs like My Name Is, Rap God, Sing for the Moment, Stan, Forever, and Not Afraid.

Dr Dre Induction Speech

Dr Dre, the renowned hip-hop producer and NWA rapper talked for eight minutes. Dr Dre talked about his protégé’s many accomplishments and their shared past.

Dre admitted that when he first listened to Eminem’s rap, he wasn’t even aware of his race. Dr Dre went on to say that he had trouble convincing Eminem to join his record label.

While everyone else had their reservations, “I understood that his gift was evident.” he continued “, His raw, dark, and funny rhymes mixed with a perfect rhythm stood out. They were unlike anything I ever have heard before, and he was hungry.” The two of us were.

My response to the doubters was, “He’s going to be the top-selling artist on our label,” added Dr Dre. I had no idea he would go on to become one of the most successful musicians ever.

Eminem Opens Up About His Overdose

Eminem talked about his struggles with addiction and his overdose in 2007. “In 2007, I came dangerously close to overdosing and that kind of sucked.” He went on because narcotics were tasty, I believed we were on to something fantastic, but I had to end it all. Goddamn.
