(GEMS RADIO)–Kanye West and The game released a joint single titled “Eazy,” a hit song that debuted at #49 on Billboard Hot 100. The hit song has turned out to be the highest-charting song for The game in 14 years. His last work to chart higher was “My Life”, which featured Lil Wayne back in 2008.
The song, which was released on January 14th, sampled a single from Eazy-E’s 1988 single titled “Eazy-Duz-It.” Eazy was produced by Hit-Boy, DJ Premier, Mike Dean, Big Duke and Cash Jones. Before being released to other streaming platforms, the song was made available exclusively on Spotify for 24 hours.“Eazy” was welcomed well in the top 40 countries like the UK, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.
One of the reasons the single received lots of attention is Kanye West’s verse where he threatens to beat up his ex-wife’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. Ye also mentions his new catch-Julia Fox, in the new song. He also raps briefly parenting and buying a home next to his ex-wife’s house.
“God saved me from that crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass (who?).” Kanye raps. “And my new bitch bad/I know Illuminati mad.”
In response to the threat, it was reported on some news sites that Pete Davidson hired extra security.
The song also attracted the attention of an animal rights organization for its controversial graphic cover art photo of a skinned monkey. Consequently, animal rights organization PETA condemned the image and the group’s president Ingrid Newkirk issued a statement to the effect.
“The photo is reminiscent of the monkeys PETA has found, sometimes heads, sometimes hands, sometimes the whole body, in meat markets around the world,” he continued. “It makes it clear that when you remove the fur you can’t miss that there’s a person in there, that they are fellow primates, and do not belong to us to abuse for any purpose, not in laboratories, roadside zoos, movies, or meat markets.”
The song will appear on The Game’s upcoming album, which is still underway.
